Relationships - The Sensitive Heart

blog
The Soul knows the perfect relationship you need for your growth. There are many common patterns I see with those who are experiencing this disruption and I am going to discuss some of these over the next couple of weeks.

The Sensitive Heart
Have you ever experienced that moment where you realise you are in a relationship that is going nowhere? In that moment do you move away from it and cut your losses? No, you double down and hang in there, waiting for it to get better. It never does though, does it? This I call the perfection of the sensitive heart. Your heart recognises another heart that shares your possibilities, your dreams and potential. You meet a kindred spirit. The reflection also shows you common struggles and pain. It is through this connection that you realise, in your heart, that healing of your past is possible. The relationship becomes the anchor for the Soul to expand and grow and it is glorious. We see the beauty of our future and strive with all our heart to attain that.
When the relationship has served its purpose it begins to degrade but the sensitive heart clings to the dream, the possibilities of the other heart. They can psychically sense the other heart, know what is possible, stay and wait for them to realise it too, forgive the other hearts bad behaviour and reward that bad behaviour with loving patience. All because the hearts are in constant connection. They communicate in a different language. What the sensitive heart fails to recognise, though, is the human behaviour. We are born with all this beautiful potential and the opportunities to realise them. The Soul brings us together to help each other reach that potential. If each of you use this time together for this growth, you move forward together. If only one heart grows, one must leave the other behind in order to evolve. This is heartbreaking for the sensitive heart. Most times the only way to end the suffering is to make the break.
I have experienced so much heartbreak in my own lifetime that the trauma will still rise and catch me off guard. I struggled with the concepts of how could this be good for my growth when it seems so damaging to my psyche. In the past that trauma did define me, it became my story. However, I slowly began to realise how damaging this victim behaviour is to the Soul. Once I became conscious of this behaviour I went through a process of blaming myself then blaming “the other”, angry with myself then angry with “the other” and finally I surrendered to the perfect process it was.
I see a lot of clients when there is disruption within their relationships and I must admit, in the past, I was caught in my own emotional responses. I had to be careful that they did not influence the readings and healings. I certainly felt empathy with them and it was through these sessions that I slowly began to comprehend the beauty in the process of connection and separation. It is the perfect opportunity to really know ourselves…when we are courageous enough to live in our sensitive heart. Our vulnerability becomes our greatest strength and being vulnerable is not being weak, it is being honest. You cannot experience suffering when you are living your truth so utilise your relationships to understand and accept your true self.
We do our best Soul growth within relationships. Our relationships reflect us. I am talking about all types of relationships, love, friendship, family, pets and even the one off chats with random people we meet within our day…all relationships. Relationships are the only way we can evolve our Soul. Even if it looks like you are moving backwards, attracting people with the same behaviour patterns or same personalities, you are moving forward. It’s incremental, but it is still growth. As I’ve discussed in previous blogs, we do attain the conscious awareness we need to make effective decisions for ourselves, eventually.
When it is happening it makes no sense, of course, and when I am working with them I am always looking for common triggers, responses and patterns. It is very difficult for them to be detached in the moment and that is why a Psychic Reading and Past Life Regression are perfect.

Karma? What Karma?

blog
I've been hearing a lot about Karma lately and wanted to open a discussion about Karma's current transactional nature. The idea of doing good to have good things or good luck keeps you in the endless cycle of disappointment , self blame and confusion about what is right action.

Here are some generic explanations for the terms we use every day and hopefully give you something to consider.
.

Picture
Reincarnation
Reincarnation is an integral part of Indian Religion and has been for thousands of years. Reincarnation
translates from Latin meaning “entering the flesh again.” It is based on the concept that the Soul continues
to exist after death and after a time re-enters life to live again on the Earth. The ways to reincarnate are
many and there are variations even within the religions that teach it. It is believed the Soul can return as a
human, animal, plant, a Spirit or even exist in another dimension separate from our own reality. Religions
such as Hinduism believes there is a Soul where Buddhism does not believe a Soul/Self exists. There are too
many variations to list here but the basic premise is that as a human we have lessons in our time here to
reach the ultimate goal where the Soul no longer has to be reborn, we return to the Source.

Karma
There are so many ways to describe Karma that it is difficult to define. There is the belief that Karma is the
result of cause and effect. If you do something good you will accumulate good Karma and if you do
something bad this will accumulate bad Karma. Another belief is that is no absolute good or bad and
therefore it is difficult to define someone as totally bad or good because we display these qualities in varying
degrees throughout our lives. Another belief states that if someone acts in a way that causes another’s
suffering but without the intent to cause suffering then Karma is non-existent. Another belief is that Karma
can be instant or played out over many lifetimes. These are just a few. The role of the belief of Karma is to
put the responsibility of action upon the individual so they may regulate their place in the afterlife.

Samsara
Samsara refers to “wandering” or “cyclic change.” Because of the concept that man does not act from a place
of wholly bad or wholly good, we usually have shades of both, Samsara was introduces as a sort of Heaven
or Hell where the Soul would wait and create enough good Karma to be able to be born as human again.

Dharma
Again, the meaning of Dharma is varied but my understanding of the word is similar to the meaning of the
Wheel of Fortune in the Tarot. Dharma means where something is “fixed” or “law” and to me this means
that we are never wholly downtrodden nor living in full bliss. The wheel of life must turn, it never stays still
and depending where you are on the wheel, things will always change. Change is the constant.

Life Between Lives
Sometimes we remain in the Soul state instead of reincarnating. Often when you meditate or have a vision
you would be connecting to the time you were in this disincarnate state. In this state you have direct access
to your Soul group and your reasons for incarnation during any lifetime. Also, you can receive a healing or
blessing around a certain situation.

You have not missed some mystic sign, you can communicate with your guides and your intuition is switched on 24/7. You are Spirit. You are living energy. You are a part of the natural cycle of the Earth. What happens is called life and how you react to your life is your choice, you have the power..

If you want to take back control and live your best life then begin with some Self Awareness training. If you're not sure where to start then I invite you to contact me. I have a range of modalities to assist you to find your own way and I am only too happy to assist you,

"Aboutism" The What, Why, How, Where of Letting Go

blog
A long time ago I got very tired of listening to the adage - “everything happens for a reason”
I used it so often myself and then one day I got really annoyed when someone used it during a very stressful time in my life and I became very upset because I realised they were not listening to me. When I thought on all the times I had used it and understood how it became an easy fallback excuse when I felt uncomfortable in the other persons distress.

Picture
What is the “reason”?
For Self: Looking for the reason why, in yourself, is an easy way to self blame. How many hours/days have you looked and asked and soul searched for that answer only to turn your frustration inwards when nothing makes sense.
For Others: It is an excuse to shift a perceived responsibility you feel. It can also be a form of bullying, victim blaming.

Why am I so focused on solutions?
For Self: It is a way to pretend you are “doing something” about your problems. This constant search increases your anxiety and uses up your precious energy. It steals your life.
For Others: You and I are human. We have empathy and feel the distress of our loved ones. You want that discomfort to go away and can unconsciously blame the other person for making you feel like that.

How is there a cycle of distress, anxiety, self soothing and self loathing?
We are uncomfortable, we want to feel safe. There is a perception that anxiety is the enemy so we do whatever we can to suppress it. We need to rationalise everything! We are blamed when we are struggling with life and there is a fear we will be rejected if our struggle becomes a perceived problem for those around us. Lots of different circumstances bring us to the point of “Aboutism”

Where can I help myself?
Feeling anxious? Name the emotion, accept the emotion, feel the emotion. Do not attach a story or memory, just let it be an emotion. It will pass. This requires practice, patience and self awareness. You also receive the benefit of actually getting to know and truly like yourself.
Find the support that supports you during this process. Someone who just listens. If YOU don’t have an immediate insight then the timing is out, there is more to experience.

Seeking a psychic will give you your karmic contract and the energy around the situation as well as outcomes. In my experience, both personally and professionally, it very rarely ends the issue. Psychic readings are supporting the process, it does not take it away or allow you to control the out of control.
The healing and coaching I do provides the stillness you require to soothe the psyche during your personal growth process.
Sometimes, with readings and healings, there is spontaneous healing, sometimes it takes the time it takes. It is all part of your Karma, the contract you came here to fulfil.

From My Heart...
Doing healing and psychic work I always felt an obligation to provide all the answers and if I couldn’t then I was not worthy. Using broad statements like “Aboutism” is counterproductive to true healing. Life always provides the backdrop and the Soul knows the way. When you come to see me I am your support. Your answers and way always lie within. I hold you in the stillness of your Soul while you access your Wisdom. You always hold the ultimate Power of your journey. My privilege is to be in that space while you do.

It's Time To Ditch The Big Stick!

blog
You set yourself up to fail, you reset the goalposts when you are close to making things easier, you pull out an obscure memory to rationalise a decision, reaction or choice. You can use this big stick you punish yourself because you could not predict the outcome and use retrospect to shame yourself for not seeing it coming.
There is no glory in punishing yourself today for decisions you made in the past. The set of circumstances that existed in a past decision or situation do not exist and can never be replicated. If you grew up with shame or are susceptible to self criticism then you could be unconsciously using the past to stay in your comfort zone. The minute you become aware of the difference, even if you're not aware of the trigger, your comfort zone becomes your uncomfort zone and nothing will feel balanced until the bias is addressed. This video series explains the process in a fun and simple way that takes the power away from your critical self and gives it back to your creative self.

Boundaries

blog
I found this list a few years ago. These are not my words and I've forgotten where I found it but I love the simple message they provide. For full autonomy over your destiny it is very important to know what your values, beliefs and boundaries are. Remember they are changeable. You are allowed to adjust as required.

  • You have the right to your own values, beliefs, opinions and emotions, and the right to respect yourself for them, regardless of the opinion of others.
  • You have the right to judge your own behaviour, thoughts and emotions, and to take the responsibility for their initiation and consequences upon yourself.
  • You have the right to decide how to lead your life. This includes pursuing your own goals and dreams and establishing your own priorities.
  • You have the right to tell others how you wish to be treated.
  • You have the right to offer no reasons or excuses for justifying your behaviour.
  • You have the right to judge if you are responsible for finding solutions to other people’s problems.
  • You have the right to change your mind.
  • You have the right to make mistakes – and be responsible for them.
  • You have the right to say “I don’t know.”
  • You have the right to be independent of the goodwill of others.
  • You have the right to be illogical in making decisions.
  • You have the right to say “I don’t understand.”
  • You have the right to say “I don’t care.”
  • You have the right to say “No.”

Different Meditations Styles

blog

We all meditate differently and our style may not match what is popular at the moment so here a few examples with an explanation for you.

Picture
VISUALISATION/RELAXATION MEDITATION
This type of meditation is for relaxation and stress relief. It is a guided meditation and best for developing a creative mind.
This guided meditation of images takes the person on a journey eg. to the ocean, on a beach, forest, garden etc. The person does not need to participate in any way.
This type of meditation is passive and designed for inward looking.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION - see body meditation on Meditation Page
This is a meditation to examine yourself. It helps you get in touch with yourself, your emotions. It is an active meditation. You are asked to experience your emotions within the meditation without pushing them away. It is best not to try to work out where the emotion came from. You allow yourself to experience it, stay with it and when it passes you will receive your insights.
To do this meditation you must focus on one thing eg. Breath, mandala, a star. If your thoughts take you away from this you just acknowledge the thoughts, let them pass and continue to focus your item. When the item disappears you will be feeling an emotion. Allow yourself to feel this until it lifts. Write about this, keep a journal.
This is an inward looking meditation, though active.

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION
This meditation is designed to open the third eye. It is a silent meditation. You sit in silence, open your third eye/brow chakra and look for a light.. The light will grow in intensity and can change colour. This is the third eye opening.
Your sense of space may alter. You may feel you are in a large space or even a small space. This is for increasing your psychic abilities and developing your sensitivity/feelings.
This is a passive meditation. This is an inward looking meditation.

ATTUNEMENT MEDITATION - see sitting in the power on Meditation Page
This meditation is to link you with spirit. It builds an connection where both you and spirit can come together and communicate. It does not happen immediately. It is something that must be built. This meditation raises our vibration and then spirit lowers their vibration to meet ours. Attunement develops your talents, may identify your talents eg. Artist, healer, musician, medium. However these talents are only possibilities, they must still be activated. You must participate for these talents to be developed.
The signs with attunement are physical. They may be a feeling of cobwebs on the face, a sense of movement in the body, a heaviness, warmth or fast breathing (quickening). These are signs that spirit is touching your aura.
Close the eyes and imagine there is a beam of gold light coming down into the top of your head. It moves down to the solar plexus and outwards into the aura. The aura is expanded by thought and filled with the gold light. The aura is then opened at the top and expanded upwards. The connection is now made. You then look for any signs of spirit, visualisations, feelings/sensitivity/senses, hearing voices, seeing.
This is an active meditation. This is an outward looking meditation.

Find Your Spiritual Tribe

blog
Image description
This millennium I have noticed that our Soul growth is being fast tracked. Our understanding of the other dimensions and the energy that powers our Soul is deeper, information is readily accessible and the ways we express our Divine light is so diverse.

So, in this new way of being, is meditation still relevant. I must admit I am very hit and miss with my regular meditation practices until the other day when I had a message directly from Spirit. It was passed on to me and I am sharing it with you.

If you would like to advance spiritually, if you would like to strengthen your intuition, if you have regular visits from Spirit or are a Sensitive/Psychic/Empath/Medium you must find a meditation circle, join with like minded souls, share your experiences and feel part of the greater power of the Spirit world. And, I cannot stress this enough, you must make a commitment to it. If that freaks you out then good, you must need it! I have heard all the reasons why you can’t make a commitment to meditation and I am here to tell you, I am not here to punish or shame you. Regular meditation is possible and life altering, just give it a go.

Here are some things I want you to consider:
  • If you don’t want to meditate, then don’t. It is either not the right time or you are reluctant for the changes it will bring
  • Meditation comes in many forms. If the thought of meditating for hours at time leaves you cold, let that expectation go. A regular meditation practice looks like many different things. Find something that suits YOU.
  • You can meditate for 5 minutes every day and get the connection your soul needs. It’s that easy.
  • Find a teacher. Find someone who supports you through this journey.

Normalising Your Psychic Experiences

blog
Image description
In the early 2000’s when I was running meditation classes I would notice that some people would attend regular classes and then drop out suddenly because they were experiencing personal difficulty.

If only they stayed and rode out the tough times, they would have found something even better. Mostly they stayed and flourished. Whenever anyone asks how to begin their Spiritual Journey or find their Life Purpose, I say meditate.

A regular meditation practice is so vital to your Spiritual growth and Self Development. It should form the basis for any Spiritual practice.

Our awakening is definitely being fast tracked but we cannot develop in isolation. It is necessary to share our experiences, to have them normalised.

Finding Your Own Way With Meditation

blog
Image description
In the early days when my heart was opening to the Spirit world and I was learning a new way of being I would get messages all different ways. I didn’t fully understand what was happening to me and I sought gurus, read all the books and, most importantly, found meditation.

At the time my reason for seeking meditation was not to connect with the world of Spirit, it was to find a way to quiet the mind and relax. I thought I was there to chill out but something wonderful happened. I found a way to effectively communicate with my guides and my Soul. I didn’t know I could. I thought it was only psychics who could do this. It was life changing, and it changed big time.

My life suddenly had more depth and meaning and it made a big difference that I had someone, my meditation teacher,  to help me feel normal about the changes that were happening to me and around me.

I found a peace deep in my soul that I’d never known before, and big disruption. Why disruption? Disruption comes when the lies we are telling ourselves are exposed.

The Secret To Coping With Change Is To Accept It As Everyday Life

blog
The readings, healings and meditations focus this past month has been around the coming sense that there is change is the air and not knowing what to expect.

Change is the element we know, it does feel ok. However, it is because you don’t know what are heading towards that makes you fearful and anxious.

Intuitively we can feel the changes coming because the world fear has reached a critical mass and we can feel the shift in our energy field.

Picture
So let’s look at the elements of change as a Spiritual being…

Risk assessment
Resistance to change comes from fear of the unknown. Those of you who know how to manage change have mastered the fear. That mastery does not kick in for every occasion though, so there is always a moment or two where you must assess the risks. Always check in with your intuition vs your instinct.

Energy Reserves
You need energy to facilitate a seamless change. It is necessary to stop and assess life when change is on the horizon, especially if you are feeling anxious about it. Often we are involved in many dramas or projects that are not for our highest good. So stop for a minute and do a stocktake. What is draining you in this moment? Will you let that go? Is it even yours to fix?

Is it mine?
You might have other events that have exhausted your energy reserves. Ask yourself, do I need to be involved here? It doesn’t mean you never help or be of comfort to friends and family however when you are in the middle of a change this is not where your energies are best spent. Be honest and walk away from energy draining situations.
**This relates to Karmic Debt which I will talk about in another blog.

What do I do?
So many factors can interfere with our transition through change. You need maximum energy and focus to facilitate change. It is not always reasonable to assume you will have the energy or the focus required, however, when faced with change you have an opportunity to clear the deck. Assess, what can you let go of right now? Is something taking your precious energy?

How do I manage in limbo?
Stay focused on your needs. Look after yourself.
Learn to hear your intuition. If you’re not sure how to do that, here is a link to a FULL BODY MEDITATION. Your body is your link to intuition.
Let your thoughts flow but you do not always have to follow them. They are not always telling you the truth.
Find your support system, your tribe. You will know them. They boost your energy, not drain it.
Above all, remember, this limbo is not forever. The wheel always turns. And when it does, you will be ready.

Why a strong connection with the Power of Spirit is so important right now
Soul knows the change and has made the adjustment already. The discomfort you feel is the misalignment of mind and emotional bodies. This discomfort is what gets us moving towards realignment and The Universe provides the situations to help us.
With each experience you lift your vibration. Old beliefs, emotional attachments to memories and sometimes, even physical pain, dissolves. After this healing experience your Soul, Mind and Body realign, stronger, wiser. You are ready for the next step. This cycle repeats itself constantly throughout your life. Accepting this fact helps you to make those transitions as smooth as possible.
  • By strengthening your relationship with your Soul, and ultimately Spirit, the decisions you make are supported by this power and they make sense as well. No more second guessing.
  • We instinctively fear change. Here is the Intuition vs Instinct at play. So, when you strengthen your intuition you can make conscious decisions.
  • You can reassess your feelings towards change and with enough in reserve, know you have whatever it needs to step through the door when it opens up to you.
