The  Conscious Mystic

Pour love into what you do and you will always be doing what you love

Do you know what you love?

Finding your purpose, or passion, is not always a straightforward exercise. Sometimes we think we want something because it looks shiny and when we get up close it either doesn’t fit or is a bit tarnished…so we start again. I was taught a very simple way to work out if you really love your idea and how you can move towards it. (Credit to Dr Irina Webster, my Medical Intuitive teacher. I highly recommend her courses). It’s a little bit like Marie Kondo but for your chakras.

I might love it but I don’t know how to make it happen…
I don’t know how many great ideas I’ve had. I know they would work, but I never got around to putting them into practice. And, most of them I forgot to write down *insert facepalm here* thinking I’d remember them because I got so excited about it. Some of them were put into practice and did not last long, some I put time into but they were never put into action because they were not viable and some worked. The thing is, I had an idea and I gave it a go, many times. Out of 100+ ideas maybe 5 worked, or were viable.

What gets you excited is always a good place to start…
There is no magic in predicting what is a great idea. If my creative Self is giving me a nudge then I start to plan how to put something together. There is a kind of magic in tuning in to your Soul to determine whether or not this will be something you will love bringing to life. When I am coaching clients I always like to check in to see what they love to do or what activity/healing/creative venture has given them an energy boost when they have participated in it. I remember the first time I picked up a deck of Tarot cards, I was in love straight away.

The best part, checking in with your Soul…
Tuning in to your Soul is always a lovely exercise for me. A long time ago I learned how to like the person that I am (all the bits) and when I tune in now I always feel comforted. The comfort comes from the connection I have with the Spirit world, it flows through my Soul and when I give it attention, I get an energy boost. Anyway, I am off topic!

How to use your chakras to move your ideas from inspiration to reality…

Crown Chakra This is where the ideas flow in. Energy from Spirit sparking your creative mind and releasing ideas and concepts that make sense. This is where  the excitement comes from. You get a real body buzz when something new begins to take shape and you can give it name.

Brow Chakra (Third Eye) A developed Third Eye is able to discern when an idea is viable or fantasy because it can place it in the future and, if viable, your whole of body responds. Your vibration shifts into a new mode and you can get serious about it because you can see the big picture. If you cannot sense the big picture you will find your Third Eye constantly trying to adjust it and this is exhausting. Develop your Third Eye and you will streamline the sorting process. How do you develop your Third Eye? Meditate…

Throat Chakra When you talk about your idea, hear yourself say it out loud, does it make sense to your ears too?

Heart Chakra Hold the idea in your heart. Do you truly love it? I mean, really love it? If you only like it you will not have the motivation to follow through when things get a bit difficult. To paraphrase Marie Kondo “Does it bring you joy?”

Picture

Solar Plexus Are you able to bring the idea into reality? Is the material reality we live in able to support your idea? Can you find the materials, the space, the support you need?

Sacral Chakra Now that your idea is here, it has form and is no longer a concept, how are you comfortable sharing it with the people you want to connect with? This is not a test about whether it is good or bad idea. It is more about how much YOU believe in it and, more importantly, believe in yourself. I say this because you are including a part of yourself in the pitch. By now you have a personal investment and if someone rejects your idea you may find yourself feeling crushed because it will feel like you are personally being rejected. A lot of creative endeavours fail to see the light of day here because we want people to like us, we humans do not do rejection well.

Base Chakra And here we share our idea with the wider community. Again, this can be confronting. Here we let our creative “baby” out into to the world to be judged. It is no longer in our control and we must accept how the community at large interprets it. This can be quite confronting because we are now giving the entire population of the world the opportunity to reject us *insert a big belly laugh here*. I can tell you that once you have finally succumbed and let whatever will be, will be, it is a huge relief *big sigh here*

Now for your next big idea…. No time like the present...GO FOR IT!!!

Things to keep in mind so you don’t give up or get despondent

*Not everything you try will be around for ever and you will always find a clue to what the next adventure is

*How do you measure success? If you cannot see where you’ve had a win in every endeavour then your measure needs to be redefined so you are not constantly disappointed and giving up. In other words, alter your expectations (not lower them)

*You may find your creative idea gets stuck at any point. This is one of two things. Either it is not time yet to bring the idea to the world, or you have missed something and need time out to let the “fix” come to you.

*Let all of your ideas flow, even if they are fantasy, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes things look like unicorns to start with and with nurturing (daydreaming) your unicorn develops into something viable

*Don’t get stuck on “it’s got to look like this”. Let yourself be flexible. Be prepared to change course. The best course of action in this instance is focus on the “Big Picture," the details will work themselves out.

*Go with the flow If your creative idea, for any reason, stops and cannot be revived then let it go. Be ok with that. It got you to this place and that was probably its purpose

With Love
